In 1986 - 1987, Glenn Jowitt travelled extensively throughout China, India, Turkey, United Kingdom, and the Netherlands, taking photographs for his book "Festivals, Rituals and Ceremonies".
HOLLAND FLOWER PARADES
Glenn photographed the Dutch Annual Flower Parades and flowers in the area of Leiden and Lisse in 1987 as part of The Festivals rituals and festivals exhibition.
It is interesting to look back on a era of Dutch history and the role Tulips played around 1640, and how they mirror the many falls of today’s share market.
